What the Windows app adds

  • Rings with the window closed

    Talkwish waits in the system tray and pops up incoming calls with Answer and Decline.

  • Starts with Windows

    Have it open quietly when you sign in to your PC, so calls ring after every restart.

  • Phone links open in Talkwish

    Make Talkwish your calling app, and phone numbers you click on websites fill in the dialer once calls to regular numbers start at launch. Nothing dials until you press Call.

  • Missed-call alerts

    Windows notifications when you miss a call, and an unread count on the taskbar icon.

Install Talkwish

  1. Open the Microsoft Store

    Select Download from the Microsoft Store. Talkwish's page opens in the Microsoft Store app, or in your browser, where you can open it in the Store.

  2. Install

    Select Get or Install. Talkwish is free to install, and it installs just for you.

  3. Sign in

    Open Talkwish from the Start menu and sign in with your Talkwish account.

  4. Find it in the tray

    When you close the window, Talkwish keeps running in the system tray by the clock, so calls still ring. Right-click the tray icon for settings.

Uninstall

  1. Quit Talkwish: right-click its icon in the system tray and choose Quit Talkwish.
  2. Open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps. On Windows 10, choose Apps, then Apps & features.
  3. Find Talkwish and choose Uninstall. On Windows 11, it's in the three-dot menu next to the app.

You can also right-click Talkwish in the Start menu and choose Uninstall. Your contacts, calls and messages stay in your Talkwish account, so you can keep using them in the web app.
